All The Action From 15th July
Sunday 15th July saw the Junior Cup Final for 2012, with our main sponsor on the day being Paul O’Sullivan Fruit & Veg from Fermoy, County Cork whose generosity ensured another fantastic day at Rosegreen.
A total of twelve juniors from several counties across Ireland ensured it was a entertaining competitive day which featured two heats and a final which consisted of 18 laps.
The main talking point in second heat involved Tommy Daily who rode his car very heavy and was out of the action for rest of the day. Tommy was shaken but thankfully not hurt.
The final started with Tomás Kiely in pole position with the two brothers from Fermoy (Joss Ian Riordan) pressurised by one of our youngest drivers Conor Shannahan (aged 8).
Tomás took the silverware with the Riordan brothers sharing second and third (2nd – Jeff Riordan, 3rd – Ian Riordan). The Riordan brothers are sponsored by Riordan SuperValu, Fermoy, the family business.
